DIY Rustic Family Christmas Tree Kit instructions

Thank you for purchasing a FamilyTree original family tree kit. This guide will help you create a keepsake in a style that's all your own!

-Celebrate Family Every Day-

1

TREE

Start by decorating wood rounds that will feature family names. Then, add color to wood ornaments, if desired, with supplied markers.

Feel free to get creative!

Add your own flair with glitter, sequins and fabric you might have around the house. You can also try stamping names or using sticker letters used for scrapbooking.

TIP: Highlighting just part of the ornament with a color will give your tree a vintage feel.

3

TREE

Finish decorating the tree by wrapping the red and tan color twine garland around the branches.

TIP:

Secure one end of the twine with glue or glue dots on the back side of the tree. Work your way up and then back down to create a criss-cross pattern.

INSERT TREE

To create extra sturdiness, glue half of a popsicle stick onto the lower part of the trunk. Once dried, push the popsicle stick into the center of the foam. Put hot glue into any holes in the foam around the trunk for added strength.

TIP:

PLACE TREE IN FRONT OF BUCKET HANDLES.

If the tree is placed on top of the handles, it won't be able to be picked up that way.

7

BUCKET

Cut off the log round from your box.  Put provided twine through hole &
tie in a bow. Attach magnet to back, affix to front of bucket to decorate.

2

TREE

Attach rounds to tree using any glue. We recommend hot glue or craft glue.

TIP: If you prefer to have removable circles, Tacky putty or glue dots can be used. You can find these in any local craft store.

BUCKET

Cut floral foam to size making sure it is as wide as the bucket so that it fits snug when inserted.  Take remaining foam and cut small wedges to fill in any remaining spaces.

TIP:

Make sure to allow for some room on top of the foam for moss!

6

INSERT TREE

Arrange moss on top and around the tree for a pretty organic look!
